Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

The short version. Gravity Lab is free to explore, for learning and for fun.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use Gravity Lab at mygravitylab.com (the “Service”). By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Free to use

Gravity Lab is free and needs no account. You may use it for personal, educational and classroom purposes. Teachers are welcome to show it in lessons.

3. What the simulations are, and aren't

Gravity Lab is built on real data and real physics, simplified so it can run in a browser. The orbits, impacts, nuclear-blast effects, timelines and Theory Lab results are estimates for learning and entertainment. Don't rely on them for navigation, safety, emergency planning, engineering, medical, financial or scientific decisions.

4. Using it fairly

Please don't:

5. Screenshots and videos

Share away. You're welcome to post screenshots and recordings of Gravity Lab for personal, educational or social-media use. We'd appreciate a mention of mygravitylab.com. For commercial use, such as advertising or paid products, please ask us first.

6. Ownership

The Gravity Lab name, logo, design and software belong to Gravity Lab. Imagery, data, sounds and voices from others belong to their owners and are used under their licences, including NASA, Solar System Scope, Esri and CelesTrak. You can find the full credits in the Controls guide; press ? or Esc in the app.

7. Other services

Some content is loaded from third-party services: maps, imagery, elevation, satellite orbits and place names. We don't control them, and they may occasionally be slow or unavailable. Our Privacy Policy explains what they receive.

8. Changes to the Service

We're always adding to Gravity Lab, and features may change, move or be retired. We might offer optional paid features in the future. If we do, they'll come with clear pricing and any extra terms will be shown to you before you pay.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Gravity Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Gravity Lab is a free service, so our total liability for any claim is limited to zero. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Service after an update, you accept the new terms.
